Help Anthony Bonna Win Re-Election for County Commissioner in November

A Message To Absentee Voters

Dear St. Lucie County Voter,

I’m County Commissioner Anthony Bonna, your independent voice for cleaner water, low taxes, and economic opportunity for all. You should have recently received your absentee ballot and I would be honored to earn your vote for St. Lucie County Commission District 2.

I have been serving you as commissioner since March of this year. While in office, I am standing up for our citizens and fighting for clean waterways, lower taxes and fees, the sustainability of our school resource deputy program, job-creating initiatives, and key infrastructure investments. The greatest joy I receive in office is when I am able to help a veteran get connected with needed services or help a business push through the government red tape and get back on track.

During the past year, I knocked on over 3,000 doors. I pride myself on being accessible and available to you. If you have questions between now and when you vote, I invite you to call me on my cell phone at 772-237-0984.

Thank you for your consideration,

Anthony

What I Stand For

Clean Water: Enough excuses. We need action now! I support plans on the books to store water north, south, east, and west of the lake and septic-to-sewer incentive programs. We need to do more to address our failing culverts and drainage issues and hold our federal and state government accountable.

Low Taxes: Did you know St. Lucie County has one of the highest, if not the highest, millage rates in the state? That’s why I proposed $1 Million in property tax relief this year. I successfully fought against a proposed millage increase and voted for a budget that reduced spending and didn’t raise taxes, while funding our priorities.

More Jobs: My top priority as your Commissioner is to make St. Lucie County as business-friendly as possible. I am actively involved in progress at the Port and Airport, support economic incentive packages that are structured to protect taxpayers, and believe in local preference for local businesses when awarding government contracts.

Better Roads: From Prima Vista to Edwards Road and all throughout our county, I am fighting to make the infrastructure investments that our community needs.

A Well-Trained Workforce: I am a strong advocate of Port St. Lucie’s career & technical/vocational school, school choice, and our local public schools.

Safe Schools & Safe Neighborhoods: As Chair of the Public Safety Coordinating Council, I am committed to ensuring our law enforcement has the resources necessary to keep our community safe and to make sure our school resource deputy program is sustainable.
